Manchester United defeated Arsenal by one goal to strenght their chance to reach the final of the Uefa Champions League before the 2nd leg in London. John O’Shea scored the only goal in the first half. Man United could score more, but Arsenal’ Goalkeeper Almunia was in good form.

Although the game end by one goal, Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Arsenal that Man United are well capable of scoring at the Emirates next Tuesday. Read the full story

John Obi Mikel Manchester United and Controversy

John Obi MikelOne of the more controversial transfers that Manchester United has had in the past few years is that of John Obi Mikel. Manchester United first announced the deal to sign Mikel in April of 2005. This deal was for four years, was for four million pounds, and would have had Mikel in the squad by January of 2006.

However, Chelsea issued a counter-claim later that year that stated they had negotiated an agreement with Mikel and his representation. They claimed to have helped Mikel move to Europe and that he and manager Jose Mourinho were in talks. This was not the first time an issue with signing the player had come up. Several sporting agents, including Sport Entertainment & Media Group, had claimed Mikel had signed exclusive deals with them in 2003. Read the full story

Man United v Tottenham highlights

Manchester United made a spectacular comeback from two goals down to beat Tottenham Hotspur 5-2 at Old Trafford to retain the first spot in the Premier League.

United were facing a defeat after Darren Bent and Luka Modric had scored two goals as the score end 2-0 at half time.

In the second half, everything changed once Ronaldo scored the first goal for United from a penalty. United scored another four goals by Ronaldo, Rooney(2) and Berbatov as the game end 5-2 for the red devils. Read the full story

Man United 2 x 0 Portsmouth

Rooney scored the first goalManchester United are on top of the premier league table after defeating Portsmouth in the game which saw Paul Scholes made his 600th appearance for the club. Goals from Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick sent United back on track to keep the premiership trophy at Old Trafford for the third year in row.

Wayne Rooney waited only 9 minutes to break the dead lock. Anderson played a smart pass to Ryan Giggs to set him free on the wing and Giggs sent the ball to Rooney who turned home from just outside the six-yard box. Read the full story

Mad Torres: Man Utd can't match Barcelona…So what?!

Mad Fernando Torres!I don’t know what Fernando Torres wanted when he said that Manchester United can’t be compared to Barcelona this season. I think the Spanish striker is going mad after his poor team lost the chance to win any trophy this season.

So he started to convert his madness on Manchester United. First, I would suggest Torres to shut up and concentrate on his game with his Club. On paper, we can say Barcelona are better than Man United this season, If we check the premier league and La Liga table, Barcelona lost only twice while we lost four time this season.
