Former Manchester United and England international winger Lee Sharpe has stated yesterday in the Manchester Evening news that Sir Alex Ferguson side will hit back and win at least the Premier League.
Sharpe, who played for Man United between 1988 and 1996, thinks the two defeats against Liverpool and Fulham left the team down. But believes the international break will have a positive effect and the club will come stronger.
“I think it was a huge shock to let in four against Liverpool and an even bigger shock to then get beaten by Fulham,” said Sharpe. “It’s just a blip and I fully expect the lads to bounce back.
“The manager and players are experienced in situations like this and will know exactly what to do.”
