Manchester United are heading to Liverpool to face Everton at Goodison Park. United hope to continue their good forms by recording another victory in the Premier League to get closer to Chelsea and Liverpool.

Wayne Rooney will be looking to score his 100th goals in the Premier League against his former club stadium where he scored his first ever goal.

“For obvious reasons, Saturday is a big game for me.

“It is always nice for any player to score 100 goals and if I can do that back at Everton, where I started and at Goodison Park, where I scored my first Premier League goal, it would be really pleasing.

“But it wouldn’t really matter if it was my first or my 100th, it would still be really sweet.”

Good news for United, Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra will be back to the starting lineup after missing last Tuesday game against Celtic in the Champions League.

Ronaldo(knee) and Berbatov(hip) are expected to be fit before tomorrow game. Meanwhile, Michael Carrick is penciled in for a comeback at home to his former club West Ham on Wednesday night.

Everton squad will have three players used to play with United, skipper Phil Neville, Howard and Louis Saha. It will be the first game for Saha against Man United since he left last August before closing the transfer window and the French striker will try to prove his worth tomorrow.

United Squad: Van der Sar, Rafael, G Neville, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, O’Shea, Ronaldo, Fletcher, Giggs, Park, Nani, Berbatov, Kuszczak, Brown, Gibson , Evans, Foster, Possebon, Carrick, Hargreaves

Can Rooney score his 100th goal?

Manchester United are going to face newly promoted West Bromwich albion tomorrow at Old Trafford. While United will be missing Micheal Carrick and Owen Hargreaves again, WBA manager’s Tony Mowbray will be hoping for another point from a premier league giant after held Arsenal with a 1-1 draw.

The Baggies have already run Arsenal close away from home this term and will be looking to stop United top form.

Sir Alex Ferguson hopes that Wayne Rooney continues scoring goals with United as he did with England during the last two games of World Cup 2010 qualifications. It is likely to see Berbatov partnering Rooney in the front while Carlos Tevez to watch the game from the bench.

Manchester United had a good record when playing against WBA. The only time United have dropped Premier League points against West Brom was this corresponding fixture on 7 May 2005 when Robert Earnshaw’s second-half penalty cancelled out Ryan Giggs opener and went some way to denying United from finishing the season in runners-up spot.

Starting XI:

Van der Sar, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Fletcher, O’Shea, Giggs, Rooney, Berbatov.

Will United continue their top form?

Wayne Rooney will be fit for England next week, even though he is still a doubt to play tomorrow.

Rooney has only just returned to training after injuring his ankle in Aalborg last Tuesday, but Sir Alex Ferguson has “no issues” with the 22-year-old joining up with Fabio Capello’s England squad for the World Cup double-header with Kazakhstan and Belarus next week.

Manchester United are traveling to Denmark to face AaB Aalborg, where they hope to lead Group E with a convincing first win over the Champions League first timers. Aalborg could quit their first European battle with a goalless draw against Glasgow Celtic in Scotland and Aalborg’s Scottish manager Bruce Rioch hope to record another good result against the Champions League holder.

Although the Danish side seems hidden for Sir Alex Ferguson, United are ready for this away test in Match day 2. Fergie’s boys recorded their first win against Bolton last Saturday and they are looking to continue their good form against the Danish champion.

Gary Neville and Owen Hargreaves have been left out of the squad. Neville has just returned to the starting line-up after being slide-lined for 18 months while Hargreaves still suffering from his knee injury which has limited his appearances since his move from Bayern Munich last summer.
Skipper absence will allow Wes Brown to start the game as right back and return to the action, he was left out after Liverpool defeat, while it is expected that Wayne Rooney will start the game from the bench even he scored a goal during Bolton’s game. Berbatov will be looking to score his first goal with Manchester United shirt. The Bulgarian striker who is valued, £26 million, as Aalborg’s budget for seven years is believed that he is progressing by the time and he will score very soon.

The only problem Sir Alex Ferguson could face is to choose his Midfielders. Cristiano Ronaldo is the only name guaranteed to start while the others are really hard to guess. Although we believe Scholes will be back to the starting XI.

Aalborg may miss two of their key players, midfielders Jeppe Curth and Kasper Risgaard, who missed today training with minor injuries but they are expected to play tomorrow.

Will United win tomorrow?
Manchester United have beaten Middlesbrough in the Carling Cup on Tuesday night and Sir Alex Ferguson’s players would repeat the result in the Premier League.

United are chasing a sixth successive home win over the Trotters. Gary Megson’s side has not defeated United since 0-1 win at Old Trafford on 11 September 2002 when Kevin Nolan got the winner.

Although United played the second team in the Carling Cup, United is likely to start Bolton game with best eleven available. Berbatov will be back upfront with Fergie to decide who will partner (Rooney or Tevez) the Bulgarian Striker. Nemanja Vidic returns from suspension meaning the Serbian will retain his place alongside Rio Ferdinand, as the unfortunate Jonny Evans misses out despite shining in his absence against Villarreal and Chelsea.

Ronaldo may makes his league start as his fitness improving, while Ferguson will have a headache as usual to choose starting midfielders from Paul Scholes, Darren Fletcher, Anderson and Owen Hargreaves.

United will have a tough test in their campaign to retain the Premier League crown when they are playing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tomorrow afternoon(Sunday 21st September 2009,Kick Off: 14:00). Sir Alex Ferguson will have Dimitar Berbatov and Cristiano Ronaldo in United’s squad to play against Chelsea on Sunday. This will be a big boost for Red Devils who were struggling to score goals during last term.

Berbatov missed Wednesday UEFA Champions League draw with Villarreal after suffering a knee injury in Liverpool last weekend, while Cristiano Ronaldo made his return in midweek after two months following ankle operation.

However, Ferguson has confirmed Berbatov is fit again and is also the question of whether Ronaldo is going to start the game or stay on the bench till the second half.

Ferguson side will miss suspended defender Nemanja Vidic. Vidic is likely to be replaced by Wes Brown or Jonny Evans who was in top form against Villarreal. England goalkeeper Ben Foster is going to be out of action from six to eight weeks with ankle ligament damage sustained in a reserve team game against Blackburn on Thursday night.

Paul Scholes will be back in the starting line-up meaning Darren Fletcher, Park Ji-sung and Nani could find themselves on the bench.

Ferguson hopes Rooney and Tevez can secure the game in the first half. Tevez is showing good form this season, while Rooney was only a shadow of the player who played with England against Croatia.

Man United could only win in one game in their last five:

17 Aug v Newcastle (H) D 1-1 (EPL)
25 Aug v Portsmouth (A) W1-0 (EPL)
29 Aug v Zenit St Petersburg (N) L 1-2 (SC)
13 Sep v Liverpool (A) L 1-2 (EPL)
17 Sep v Villarreal (H) D 0-0 (CL)

Starting XI: Van der Sar; Neville, Ferdinand, Brown, Evra; Fletcher (or Ronaldo) Hargreaves, Scholes, Nani; Rooney (or Berbatov); Tevez.

Can United pass Chelsea Test?

Today United are playing against La Liga side’s Villarreal in the opening game of UEFA Champions League. The game will be a good chance for our team to recover from Liverpool defeat last Saturday in the Premier League. Sir Alex believes that the fans will be a factor to win as the game will be held at Old Trafford.

The fans will see Giuseppe Rossi playing against United for the first time since his move to La Liga. Rossi was a hot-prospect for future at United, but his desire to play first team football let Sir Alex accepted Villarreal offer.

United Squad will be boosted with Cristiano Ronaldo after recovering from an ankle injury. Ronaldo is going to take a part in today game and the Portuguese winger can’t wait to play again and let the fans fall in his love again!

While Scholes is suspended and Carrick is injuried, it is likely to see Darren Fletcher and Owen Hargreaves named in Ferguson’s first XI. Also new signing Berbatov may can’t play due to his knee injury, Nani is expected to replace Berba.

Meanwhile, Carlos Tevez has indicated that Ronaldo comeback will help the team to recover from Liverpool defeat and increase their chance to retain the Premier League and other trophies.

“Cristiano is a massive player for us and it’s great to have him on our side,” said Tevez.

“It’s like having an extra player when he’s there because he’s such a danger to our opponents.

The Northwest derby will be played at Anfield, Kickoff at 12:45 GMT, and United are looking to extent their winning record against Liverpool to a sixth victory out of seven games have been playing during the last three years.

The Premier League holder are playing their third league game, due to UEFA super cup, and winning the game tomorrow will see Reds top of the league table for a while with a game in hand.

It is likely that Sir Alex Ferguson starts with Dimitar Berbatov, the only player signed for United this season, up front. However, Ferguson has to decide who will partner Berbatov. Both Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez are fit for the game. We expect Wayne Rooney, who scored a goal against Croatia, to start the game with Berbatov with Tevez to take part in the second half. The other scenario is to let the trio start the game and change the system from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3.

Ryan Giggs will be included in the squad as he recovered and we hope to have Michael Carrick available after the midfielder’s recent ankle problem, but Owen Hargreaves appears unlikely to be fit after he suffered a recurrence of a knee injury prior to the defeat to Zenit St Petersburg.

In the other side, Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres were in training with Liverpool today and the due may start the game if they could maintain their fitness.

We hope Sir Alex side comes back to Manchester with a massive victory

Manchester United are ready for tricky test of UEFA Super Cup against UEFA Cup holder FC Zenit St. Petersburg when they meet today (20:45 GMT) at Stade Louis II in Monaco. Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to win the Super Cup for the second time with United after missing last trophy for Lazio in 1999-2000 season after United won the famous treble in 1999.

The current squad has only one player won the UEFA Super Cup. This player was Edwin Van der Sar with Ajax in 1995 when they won over Real Zaragoza. Ryan Giggs could win it with United in 1991 when they beat Red Star Belgrade 1-0 in a one-off at Old Trafford, as he had not broken into the starting line-up.

United squad will be boosted by the return of Owen Hargreaves and Skipper Gary Neville from an injury. Harhreaves is expected to take part in the game as United middle are missing Cristiano Ronaldo, Micheal Carrick and Park Ji-Song due to injuries. While Nani will be back in the wing as he has completed a three-match ban for his dismissal against West Ham last season.

The confidence is high in the United side. Both John O’Shea and Giggs are plan on putting the record straight when the game against UEFA Cup winners Zenit St Petersburg kickoff.

“We want to win the Super Cup it is as simple as that,” said O’Shea.

“At the end of it to be known as the best club in Europe is what we want and we will be doing our best to get it.”

Giggs added: “It is the winners of the UEFA Cup against the winners of the European Cup so it is a special game.

Manager Sir Alex Ferguson said that he will start the game with the best players he has. So it is expected that United starting XI be as follow:

GK: Van der Sar. RB: Wes Brown. CB: Rio Ferdinand and Vidic. LB: Evra.

RM: Nani. CM: Scholes and Fletcher. LM: Ryan Giggs. CF: Rooney and Tevez.

Will United win the UEFA Super Cup?
