The British media devoted page after page of reactions to Manchester United’s elimination from the Champions League following the late comeback by Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on Wednesday night. As expected, the German media also provided a huge amount of coverage to what one newspaper described as a “little footballing miracle” while lavishing praise on Dutch manager Louis van Gaal and his team. Manchester United’s Champions League quarter final at Bayern Munich gave the BBC an opportunity to have a close look at two very different financial models of how clubs should operate in order to obtain long term viability. Many calls have been made for United to emulate the way that clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid are run but Germany’s Bundesliga provides another alternative which should at least be given close consideration.

Many reports suggest Manchester United will offer Arjen Robben a come back to England before the end of the transfer windows. In my opinion, Robben will only be a waste of time and money for Man United players and fans.
Thank god the reports stated hours ago that Bayern Munich set to sign the Dutchman from Real Madrid! The player is not in his best after picking a huge number of injuries during the last term. If he joins Man United, we will add another winger to the squad which needs a world class playmaker in the middle (We already have Valencia, Nani, Park, Giggs and Tosic). Read the full story
