The moment of truth is nearly upon us. Wednesday’s Champions League quarter final second leg at Old Trafford could not be more finely poised. Bayern Munich have a slender 2-1 advantage from the first leg in Germany but will be acutely aware that there is no room for error with United having scored a vital away goal. United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has returned from his holiday in the south of France with a whole lot of transfer activity ahead of him. The United chief has a reported £100 million to spend this summer. He wouldn’t of expected to have to replace two big stars such as Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo, but that’s his challenge this summer.
