Red Dead Podcast 4 – Who’s In, Who’s Out, United Stadium and “Super Fans”

Young on the way…and more transfer gossip


Transfer rumours are a dime a dozen. Very few have genuine substance so they should always be taken with a huge amount of cynicism. Yet they cannot be completely ignored in case there’s the slightest grain of truth in them. Some media outlets are obviously more reliable than others so Truly Reds is prepared to report the gossip and give a rating of 1 to 5 as to how believable it’s likely be. A rating of 1 can almost certainly be dismissed out of hand while a 5 may give the story some merit and warrant a small wager. Have a look at the latest sports news and transfers being reported but be warned – only believe what you want.

Roo, Brown and Carrick open up on life at United


The season is now at its business end, tension is building amongst the squad as well as the fans. United overcome Marseille AND Valencia is back


A nerve wracking final 10 minutes at Old Trafford saw Manchester United safely through to the Champions League quarter finals after a Wes Brown own goal gave Marseille a sniff of getting a late equaliser to qualify on away goals. Javier Hernandez had earlier scored twice to give United what appeared to be some much needed breathing space until Brown headed into his own net from a Marseille corner kick. The overwhelming feeling amongst United fans when the final whistle went was one of sheer relief!

United on target for another first against Valencia


Despite the heavy 0-4 defeat suffered at West Ham in the Carling Cup last week, Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is likely to again leave a number of senior players out of his starting lineup for Tuesday night’s Champions League meeting with Valencia. Both clubs have already qualified for the knockout round although top spot in Group C is still up for grabs. United have 13 points from five games and will win the group if they avoid defeat against the Spaniards.
