United FA Cup defeat by City was destined

Football often throws up some delicious ironies. They often happen when least expected with not just one coincidence, not even two or three but as in the current season, a hard to believe FOUR times – and that’s only if I happened to overlook any other instances. It does not mean that rumours cannot be noted however because where there’s smoke there can sometimes be a fire. Stories published over the weekend suggest that two key defenders and a promising young striker could find themselves wearing new colours by the time the new season kicks off.
