Watch Ipswich? No thanks, it’s cheaper at United


Want to go and watch Roy Keane’s Ipswich Town in The Championship this season? No thanks, it’s cheaper to go to Old Trafford. ‘Surely, there must be some sort of mistake’ you say but surprisingly enough, it’s a fact. A survey of all 92 English professional clubs conducted by FourFourTwo magazine has found that a season ticket at Ipswich Town will set you back £1001, more expensive than the £931 it costs to attend Old Trafford.

van der Vaart may be the Real deal for United


The large number of players linked to Manchester United in the last few weeks has been extraordinary. A hardened cynic, like this one, could not be blamed for thinking that the vast majority of them never had a hope in hell of ever going through yet there is something about the proposed move of Rafael van der Vaart from Real Madrid that seems to be a little different. A gut feeling if you like, that this time, the transfer could prove to be the real thing.

Manchester United v Tottenham Hotspur preview


Tottenham Hotspur will travel to Manchester absolutely brimming with confidence ahead of their lunchtime match with Manchester United on Saturday. Harry Redknapp’s young team will be looking to build on home wins over Arsenal and Chelsea with another three points at Old Trafford.  However, for those of you who fancy Spurs chances, the head to head record between the two clubs should serve as a warning that United are not a team that the North Londoners fare well against.
