‘I’m sick of Manchester’ reveals United star


“I love United but I’m sick of Manchester” one first team player confessed last week. Respected journalist Andy Mitten has revealed in FourFourTwo magazine that “Like Gabriel Heinze before him, he fancies Real Madrid.” There have been plenty of talk in the last few months linking former France defender Patrice Evra to the Spanish giants and despite his continuous denials, the old saying of where there’s smoke there’s fire immediately comes to mind. Mitten has had a long, sometimes close association with Manchester United footballers for many years and pulls no punches when remembering that “Heinze must be the most disappointing player I’ve ever interviewed”

United to visit Cantona’s home town in Europe


So Manchester United face French club Marseille in the Champions League last sixteen. It could have been worse even though this will not be an easy tie but it’s certainly a winnable one which should see United safely into the quarter finals. Marseille are currently lying in fifth position in the French League having lost 4 times and qualified from their European group in second place having lost their first two matches before coming back with four straight wins.

Real Madrid ready to bid £20million for Patrice Evra


So here we go again, Real Madrid cannot seem to get enough players away from Old Trafford. Just in the last few years alone Real has head hunted David Beckham in 2003, Ruud van Nistelrooy (2006), Gabriel Heinze (2007) and of course Cristiano Ronaldo last year. It was then made clear recently that  super striker Wayne Rooney is their number one target for next season, shown plenty of interest in central defender Nemanja Vidic and now it’s being reported that the Madrid giants are preparing to spark another transfer battle with Manchester United by launching a £20million move for French international Patrice Evra.
