After witnessing Manchester United defeat against Blackburn Rovers for our New Year’s Eve match, I would touch on another significant matter to the football world, the opening of the transfer window. If he does, I will be genuinely surprised now whether the surprise, is positive or negative, only time will tell. Read the full story

Despite all the cynical suspicions, the reports persist! Is it be possible that Holland’s Wesley Sneijder can be prised from Inter Milan by Sir Alex Ferguson for the asking price of £25million? The midfielder who is seen as the perfect replacement for the soon to be retired Manchester United legend Paul Scholes may yet end up at Old Trafford in summer if consistent reports in the Italian media are to be believed but be warned.

If you thought that the FIFA World Rankings are wacky and worse, if Inter Milan can be labelled the best club side in the world after doing no more than defeating a team of Korean unknowns and a bunch of amateurs from the Congo, try getting your head around this. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been named the “The World‘s best Coach of the 1st Decade of the 21st Century” by IFFHS – ‘The International Football Federation of History & Statistics’ an organisation which is officially recognised by FIFA. Wenger finished with 156 points, 8 ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson and 21 more than Jose Mourinho. Remember that what’s known as a ‘manager’ in England is referred to as a ‘coach’ in most parts of the world.
