Will Kiko be going home? “No, I don’t think so”


Despite intense attempts from current Serie A leaders Lazio and other Italian club giants  to lure Federico Macheda back to his Roman home, the 19 year old striker has made it clear that he has no plans to go anywhere. Having already made a handful of first team appearances for Manchester United this term, he believes he is an important part of Sir Alex Ferguson’s plans and remains determined to make his mark in the Premier League.

Was Keano Manchester United’s best ever captain?


Former Manchester United skipper Roy Keane ‘was the best captain any club could have ever wanted’ or so I thought until these “incidents” came to light. He demanded players gave everything for the club and he got it out of them mainly through being so scary that no one would ever argue with captain psycho. But there’s no denying that he was a cantankerous bugger. Here are some of the most memorable moments where Keano was feeling a little pissed off with the world. It made me stop and think for a minute but guess what? Despite his outbursts, I still think Roy Keane ‘was the best captain any club could have ever wanted.’

Jaap Stam remembers the glory year of The Treble


Like every other football club manager Sir Alex Ferguson has made his share of mistakes during his 25 years at Old Trafford but admits that his biggest one was accepting an offer from Lazio for Jaap Stam at the start of the 2001-02 season. Fergie has since made his peace with the central defender who was sold against the backdrop of dressing room revelations in his autobiography and doesn’t mind admitting that he is still troubled by selling the big Dutchman.

Nou Camp treble legends remembered


Talk of revenge filled the air when fate decided that Germany’s Bayern Munich and Manchester United should meet in a blockbuster quarter final during this weeks European Champions League draw. The two glamour clubs had produced that dramatic 1999 Nou Camp final where United completed a historic treble in the dying seconds of a game which appeared certain to reward Bayerns almost entire 90 minutes of dominance with a deserved 1-0 victory until football proved that miracles can and do happen!
