As the senior squad prepares for a new season with a whirlwind tour of North America, the youngsters for whom Sir Alex Ferguson has such high hopes for are working hard at Carrington under reserve team coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. If it wasn’t so true the media would have needed to make it up! Just when the cruel injury suffered by super striker Wayne Rooney in Munich appeared to severely diminish the chances of a fourth successive Premier League title for Manchester United, fate intervened just24 hours later to also possibly derail the challenges of rivals Arsenal and Chelsea.

Youngster Mame Biram Diouf played his first game at Old Trafford and scored his first goal with Manchester United to secure the three points and revenge over newly promoted Burnley.
Dimitar Berbatov scored the first goal, while English international Wayne Rooney doubled the score.
United starting lineup was boosted with Van der Sar. Also Nani, who reports suggested he is about to leave the club, has been given a chance to play for 90 mins. Read the full story

Our new signing!
United signed a young Senegalese striker Mame Diouf this week from Molde. The 21 year-old has proved a great hit with the Norwegian club and has attracted interest from clubs around Europe. The fee is believed to be in the region of £4million.
Molde is the club that Sir Alex Ferguson signed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from in 1996. The Norwegian, who is now reserve team manager at Old Trafford, like Diouf arrived with little herald but went on to prove a unreserved success as we all now. Read the full story
