Selective video hypocrisy is what pisses me off


Nothing pisses me off in football more than hypocrisy! Example, January 27, 2010 “Video evidence, which shows Ferdinand striking Hull City’s Craig Fagan with an arm means that the Manchester United skipper must plead either precedent or accident at the hearing” The outcome? “That panel increased the mandatory three match ban by one game because Ferdinand’s challenge to the FA charge was deemed to be frivolous.” Ok, let’s for a moment accept that it may have been a fair decision.

Difficult visit to Wigan won't be a picnic for United


A Wigan Athletic and Premier League debut facing Cristiano Ronaldo in 2008 was tough enough but a club century appearance directly opposing Manchester United’s form player Nani three years later is no easier for Honduran defender Maynor Figueroa. In line to make his landmark mark for Wigan on Saturday, the 27 year old explained how his tough initiation into English football was one of the main factors in him reaching the unique milestone.
