Manchester United fans are no different to any others. They love the brilliance which some of their players can provide, consistent match winners are put on a pedestal but the ones who remain long in their memories are those who give their all to the club for the majority of their careers, even though they may have done better for themselves if they took one of the many opportunities to go elsewhere. It’s called total and unconditional loyalty to their club and who can possibly embody that quality better than Ole Gunnar Solskjaer?

With more talent than Sir Alex Ferguson can handle at Manchester United next season, many other Premier League clubs have been knocking on the door at Old Trafford in the hope that a short term move can be arranged for some of the Reds youngsters. Blackburn Rovers has been the first to benefit from that embarrassment of riches by taking striker Mame Biram Diouf on a season long loan to Ewood Park.

Our new signing!
United signed a young Senegalese striker Mame Diouf this week from Molde. The 21 year-old has proved a great hit with the Norwegian club and has attracted interest from clubs around Europe. The fee is believed to be in the region of £4million.
Molde is the club that Sir Alex Ferguson signed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from in 1996. The Norwegian, who is now reserve team manager at Old Trafford, like Diouf arrived with little herald but went on to prove a unreserved success as we all now. Read the full story
