Red Dead Podcast 3 – 19, Morrison and the CL Final


Welcome to the third episode of the “Red Dead Podcast”, the weekly Manchester United podcast for TrulyReds, brought to you by Tom “Darren Fletcher” Addison and Liam “Wrestlemania” Brown.

This week we’re taking a look at the festivities from Old Trafford yesterday afternoon, the final outcome of this seasons relegation battle, a certain Ravel Morrison and the youth teams prospects for the Youth Cup final, City, that banner and their trophy parade and, of course, the upcoming UEFA Champions League final.

To Sir Alex – with many thanks from Barcelona


There are few things in this world that gives more satisfaction than watching an innocent, starry eyed child develop into a mature, successful man. It can happen in any walk of life but more so in football where there are relatively few opportunities in a dog eat dog environment. One such man is Spain and Barcelona central defender Gerard Pique who came to Manchester United from the Spain as a 17 year old and stayed four years before returning home. At the age 24 he is now a World Cup, twice Champions League, twice La Liga and a Premier League winner yet he still rates those early years at Old Trafford under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson as immensely critical to his success.

Video – Why Ronaldo got pissed off with Nani


The Portugal winger Nani has apologised to his team mate Cristiano Ronaldo after denying the winger a memorable goal in their side’s 4-0 friendly mauling of the world champions SpainRonaldo looked to have put Portugal ahead with a superb effort in the first half, after cleverly turning inside Gerard Piqué before scooping his shot over Iker Casillas. The stunning effort was dropping into the net but Nani raced in from an offside position to head the ball in from point blank range, leading to the goal being disallowed. “I touched the ball because I thought I wasn’t offside. Everything happened so quickly” explained Nani “after having time to think about it I apologised to Ronaldo. It was a great piece of play and I shouldn’t have ruined it.” Click on the pic to watch the video.
