Stay Strong Shaw!


It was that sick feeling that you get in your stomach when you know that something serious has happened to a player as he goes down, visibly in agony.

That was the feeling I had as soon as I witnessed the challenge from PSV defender Hector Moreno on United’s Luke Shaw in the 15th minute of the Champions League clash at the Philips Stadion on Tuesday evening. Read the full story

Park Ji-Sung inspires a whole nation


When South Korea captain Ji-Sung Park slotted the ball home to ensure that all three points were secured for his country in their opening Group B World Cup match against Greece, he took a major step in his determined vow to lead the Koreans into the next stage of the tournament. It will only be the second time in their history that the Asian powerhouse will get into the last 16 and that was when they were co-hosts with neighbours Japan back in 2002.

Manchester United World Cup Stars – Ji Sung Park


South Korea captain Ji Sung Park admits that qualifying for the semi finals of  the 2002 World Cup was a little miracle but that it’s possible for it to happen again in South Africa. “Obviously 2002 was a great achievment for us, it was a miracle but there’s nothing to say that it cannot  happen again” the 29 year old Manchester United midfield dynamo warned. But then Park quickly added that the odds of a repeat performance are very slim  “Actually our goal is to get through to the second round and we don’t even think about going any further”
