Real Madrid are preparing another bid to Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo after Wesley Sneijder suffered a serious knee injury during yesterday game of Emirates Cup against Arsenal following a heavy tackle from Abou Diaby and reports suggest he could be out for up to six months, but at the same time Real Madrid President Ramon Calderon refused to disclose whether Real Madrid would step up their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Real’s expert defender Michel Salgado insists he does not know anything about the progress of the transfer but believes the club could now up their pressure on United. Read the full story

In today Manchester Evening News, Peter Spencer thought that United is going to have another fight with Real Madrid. This time it is not about Cristiano Ronaldo. It is about Tottenham’s Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov and it’s reported that United could also be up against Barcelona. Spain’s big two have emerged as Sir Alex Ferguson’s biggest rivals in the race for Dimitar Berbatov. Tottenham’s Bulgarian strike ace is top of the United boss’s summer wish list, but the Londoners are unwilling to sell to a Premier League opponent.
That stance has left the way open for Real , already at loggerheads with the Reds over their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo, and Barcelona, with Spurs willing to let their prize asset go abroad for less than the estimated £30m he could cost United which is known as a revenge if letting Micheal Carrick left easily to Manchester United last summer.
