Reports in Brazil and Europe suggest that Manchester United are monitoring Ganso’s progress at Santos, as Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to expand his youth squad with a promising star. But United face two major problems in their hunt of the 21-year-old midfielder.
The first problem the player unrealistic £40million buyout clause in his contract and Santos will only consider offers worth more than half of that number! Sir Alex also has to persuade Ganso that his future lies in England, rather than Italy, Spain or France. Read the full story

The many thousands of Manchester United fans who cannot wait to see the back of a Bulgarian they nicknamed ‘Berbaflop’ will be well advised to remember the Uruguay hitman who was dubbed Diego ‘Forlorn’ during his two and a half years at Old Trafford. Perhaps his 17 goals in a total of 98 appearances warranted his nickname at the time but Forlan has certainly proven his ability to find the net in the five years since.

Just as one began to sense a feeling that the frenetic activity in the transfer rumors season had started to ease off, more stories began popping up linking Manchester United to more players. The official club site is keeping tabs on all the gossip with the running total currently standing at 42 players coming in for an estimated £877m and 9 going elsewhere for an estimated £170m. A calculator is obviously not required to come up with a round figure of a mammoth net £600m being outlaid. An absolutely ridiculous amount.

A Brazil sensation who Sir Alex Ferguson is reported to be closely monitoring has rejected an approach by Manchester City implying that he sees them as nothing more than a bunch of wannabes. 20 year old Santos midfield star Paulo Henrique Ganso did not beat around the bush when he announced that “I don’t want to play for Manchester City, I’d prefer to play for a big club”
