When Manchester United brought Giuseppe Rossi from Parma, I was sure that Sir Alex and the scouting team were watching his talent from long time. Rossi impressed all united fans when he started playing with the youth team. This made Brain McClair, Reserves team manager, to promote Rossi quickly into his team.
I do not want to talk much about Rossi career with Manchester United, because most of united fans recognized his skills and talent in his limited opportunities with the senior side.
At the beginning of this season, Rossi was sold to Villarreal. I wasn’t surprise by this decision as United signed Carlos Tevez. So United had four players in the front; Rooney, Saha, Tevez and Solskjaer. After that, the problem started with the Solskjaer retiring due to his long term injury and Luis Saha problem with picking and injury every month!… Here, I said oh! Why Sir Alex let Rossi goes??
Maybe it is long term loan deal till the boy gets the experience needed to play in the senior squad. Every time I watch a game for Villarreal this season, I notice Rossi’s impact in the result of the game. He has been progressing very well with the Spanish side, playing 27 games and scoring 11 goals so far.
So after all this talk, is it possible to sign Giuseppe Rossi back? The answer is very simple: Yes we can. Rossi has a clause in his contract that allows Manchester United to repurchase him at a later date. Good news for next season! Especially if we know that Saha crisis with injuries may let us see him get off loaded this summer.
Finally, wither selling Rossi was a correct decision or not. I think it will be good to see Giuseppe back playing in the theatre of dream. Do you agree with me?!
