Manchester United defeated Arsenal by one goal to strenght their chance to reach the final of the Uefa Champions League before the 2nd leg in London. John O’Shea scored the only goal in the first half. Man United could score more, but Arsenal’ Goalkeeper Almunia was in good form.
Although the game end by one goal, Sir Alex Ferguson has warned Arsenal that Man United are well capable of scoring at the Emirates next Tuesday.
“Maybe we should have scored four goals but if you’d asked me what I wanted, I wanted to win the game without losing a goal.
“You can’t have everything in life, we’ve got that so we move on.
“The game’s not over but we know we can go there and score and that is the big problem Arsenal have to carry.
“I think we proved, like we did at Porto, when the chips are down we’re capable of reaching a really high level.”
