Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be United’s next signing, after the club completed the £3.5million signing of Bordeaux winger Gabriel Obertan yesterday. The Inter striker has been heavily linked with United in the last few days and may soon be moving to Manchester.
The striker is rated in the £3omillion bracket, but Inter are reluctant to sell their star player, who helped the club win the Scudetto last season. He is a player that divides opinion amongst most football pundits and fans alike. One minute he is a super Swede, the next hes a rotten turnip.
He also has a tendency to hide when the big occasions come around, such as when Inter have faced the big teams in the Champions League. On the other hand though, he can produce sublime bits of individual skill that can win you a game.
Its that sublime skill that has teams such as United interest in his talents. Barcelona and Real Madrid have also been linked with the flawed genius. I for one would love to see the Swedish international at Old Trafford next season. Another downside to the player is his poor temperament, just like the departing Cristiano Ronaldo he has a major ego, which is sometimes bigger than his ability actually justifies.
