Sir Alex Ferguson was completely right when he said that Manchester City are a small club and are just jealous of United’s success. Daft posters saying ‘Welcome to Manchester’ when Carlos Tevez signed for City proved how desperate they are to compete with our great football club.
City have lived in United’s shadow ever since Fergie won his first trophy at United and haven’t won a trophy for 4o years. If they think that they can just open their cheque book and instantly become a top club, they will have to think again.
Even after spending Hundreds of millions of pounds, I believe they may struggle to break the top six let alone the top four. Money doesn’t always buy you class or status, just ask Paris Hilton! Manchester City in my eyes are still worlds away from us Chelsea and dare I say it Liverpool.
Like Fergie also said City have to get past Everton, Aston Villa and Tottenham next season to even finish fifth. Then if they want to break into the top four they need to topple United, Liverpool, Chelsea or Arsenal, which at this point in time looks like fantasy. All I have to say is you can spend all you like City, but always remember that we have won 19 league titles to your meagre two! Good luck pretenders, you are going to need it we are the Real Deal!
