Wayne Rooney, who opened his scoring account against Birmingham yesterday, was pleased to see his former international team mate Michael Owen playing his first game at Old Trafford.
Although Owen missed an easy chance to score his first official goal with Manchester United, Rooney believes the ex-scouser can score many goals for United this season and he only need few more games to find his great form.
“He got a great reception but that’s to be expected.” Rooney said about Owen.
“You can see his movement when he comes on. He’ll take chances like that when he gets them.”
