Manchester United bounced back from last week Liverpool defeat after recording a two goals win to down Blackburn Rovers at Old Trafford. Man United attacking duo Dimitar Berbatov and Wayne Rooney scored in the second half to give the reds a deserved victory.
Man United had the most of the first half chances. Berbatov could have a hat-trick of luck didn’t stand in front of him. He also scored a goal after fast passes between Nani and Rooney but the goal was ruled out for offside.
10 minutes into the second half, Berbatov was in front of the stretford end to prove for us that he is worth £30 million with an aerobatic goal. Berbatov received Patrice Evra cross in one quick movement and he nudged the ball into the air before sending a twisting volley past Robinson who did nothing but watching the ball going home.
Then, it was Gabriel Obertan time to play his Premier League debut. It would be a dream kick-off for the French youngster if he scored from the two opportunities he got. First when he did a great move to trick Blackburn defender before sending the ball into Robinson and then when he sent the ball wide the left bar. In General, it was an average start for the winger who will give another option down the wing to Sir Alex Ferguson in the future.
After 87 minutes , Anderson crossed from the left to find Wayne Rooney’s who dashed the ball to Robinson left to seal the victory for the Red Devils who are waiting a tough clash with Chelsea next week.
In my view, we played well this game specially in the second half. Anderson was a class today with Berbatov who was active after scoring that goal, hope he plays so all the time! I think we are missing Fletcher in the middle but he will be ready for coming games as he was seen on the bench today.
