No coloured shoes for United’s youth players

Sir Alex Ferguson has banned Youth teams’ players from using coloured boots during training and games. Ferguson has declared that youth team and academy players must wear black boots no matter what brand it is.

An Old Trafford source told the Daily Mail: “Sir Alex doesn’t like young players to get ahead of themselves. He thinks their feet should be on the ground.”

Man United are also on the alert on the use of boots with ‘bladed’ soles as they feel they can cause head injuries.
