  1. Even if that was the reason he wasn’t playing well in the World Cup, why should Ferguson care? His priorities will, and should, be with United. And quite frankly, that should be the same for Rooney, we’re the ones who pay his massive wages. If he ain’t fit to play for us he shouldn’t be playing for anyone else either.

  2. this is all bullshit……this is one of d most stupid reasons for england’s debacle…….ferguson has a rite to use the player how he wants to during the whole season…..no manager will rest a player coz d world cup is coming up……champions league is the biggest prize in club football…so ferguson has every right to use rooney……..nd speaking abt england, i think all the players except lampard were crap……..rooney will show his true colours in the next WC

    GLORY GLORY UNITED

  3. Interesting theory. I’m sure that Fabio was careful to leave everyone well-rested for the upcoming Premiere League season…

Honestly, can’t they just see that the England team just didn’t have the teamwork? They were a bunch of individuals on the field, not playing as a team at all. Though they had the more talented players, the draw with USA is down to USA’s superior TEAMWORK. More talented players doesn’t mean a better team. Gerrard, Rooney..none of the played like they were playing for a common goal. Carra came closest, and he was an unused substitute the final match!

    Sad, journalists, sad.
