The last 16 games have finished and we now know the teams in the draw on Friday in Nyon for the Quarter Finals. Manchester United had the most impressive win of the round, overcoming a 2-0 home loss and having many injuries to beat PSG 3-1 in Paris.
In the previous round, there were restrictions on teams from the same country playing each other. However this has now been lifted which makes the next round extremely interesting. Here are the teams that Manchester United can play
Manchester City
This would be a major fixture and arguably the biggest of the round. The two clubs would see this as the most important fixture of the year. Potentially a historic tie.
Liverpool FC
Another amazing game and probably a bigger game than the city derby. This would be a fixture watched by millions of fans around the world, one of the biggest games of the year.
Tottenham Hotspur
A Premier League derby, not as big as the other two games mentioned above. Manchester United will be confident of winning this fixture, however this will be a difficult task. Harry Kane and co will be keen to win in their new home stadium.
FC Barcelona
A classic game between Manchester United and Barcelona would be the tie of the round. All games between both teams promise goals. FC Barcelona will be favourites in this game but we fans from Manchester United will be confident the team can pull it off.
Porto
Portuguese team Porto will be seen as a good draw for Manchester united and one in which we think we can win easier than the rest. However, this Porto team shouldn’t be taken lightly, they beat AS Roma comfortably in the last round.
AJAX
Having beaten Real Madrid in the last round, the Dutch giants are probably seen as the weakest in the round but they will be sure to give a great game to any team.
Juventus
The Italian team beat Atletico Madrid 3-0 to progress with former Manchester United star Cristano Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick. Juventus beat us at Old Trafford in the Group stages but we travelled to Turin and won away from home. This would be sure to be an interesting tie.
What are your thoughts on the draw, which team would you like to see us get and which ones would you like to see us avoid.
