Yesterday, we watched many games of the World Cup 2010 qualifications round and some of Manchester United had been called up and playing. We will give a brief idea of the six United players performance in these games.
We will start with England game against Andorra. England won the game 2-0 with only Wayne Rooney included in the starting line-up. Rio Ferdinand was pulled off due to an injury while Wes Brown was unused sub. Rooney played 90 minutes with scoring no goals
Georgia game has ended1-2 against Republic of Ireland and John O’Shea did well with the winning side, he played the full match at centre-back and was in solid form.
Nani was on form with Portugal. Carlos Queirós side had an easy 4-0 won against poor Malta. Nani scored a nice goal in the 78th minutes. Also Nemanja Vidic got off to a winning start in the World Cup qualifiers, completing 90 minutes on the field as Serbia beat Faroe Islands 2-0.
Carlos Tevez was sent off just after 30 minutes of Argentina against Paraguay game. Tevez side ended the game with a 1-1 draw.
Other United players had a sad night as their international teams have been defeated. Patrice Evra had a nightmare game with France as they lost against Austria 3-1 in one of the most shocking results in the World Cup qualifiers.
Darren Fletcher and Jonny Evans suffered a defeat as Scotland and Northern Ireland lost against Macedonia and Slovakia. Finally, new signing Berbatov side’s Bulgaria has ended their game with a draw in the stoppage time against Montenegro.
