Manchester United are purposing to sign Dimitar Berbatov in the coming weeks, after a ? 20 million offer been rejected last week. Sir Alex Ferguson is strongly wishes to to add the Striker to his squad. Now United will raise their bid to ? 25 million which is good enough for spurs to sign the Bulgarian hitman. United have been interested in him for more than a year, but Tottenham were hoping Barcelona, Real Madrid or AC Milan would firm up their interest and start a summer auction.
Sir Alex is a big fan of Berbatov and has showed his respect to the striker many times during this summer. Berbatov’s agent Emil Danchev told Bulgarian radio: “I know for certain Manchester United have shown interest in signing Dimitar Berbatov, but I’m not entitled to make any more comments.”
United squad is flying to South Africa this week for three friendly games and will then stop off in Nigeria for an exhibition match against Portsmouth before returning home towards the end of the month and United boss hopes to complete the signing of his new striker before the tour so Berbatov gets to know his new mates.
