Real Madrid are preparing another bid to Manchester United‘s Cristiano Ronaldo after Wesley Sneijder suffered a serious knee injury during yesterday game of Emirates Cup against Arsenal following a heavy tackle from Abou Diaby and reports suggest he could be out for up to six months, but at the same time Real Madrid President Ramon Calderon refused to disclose whether Real Madrid would step up their pursuit of Cristiano Ronaldo.
Meanwhile, Real’s expert defender Michel Salgado insists he does not know anything about the progress of the transfer but believes the club could now up their pressure on United.
“We don’t know anything about it,” he said. “It’s a problem for the club, Pedja Mijatovic and the coach.
“We are players, we only think about football.
“But now Wesley Sneijder is injured and he’s an important player for us.
“Maybe tomorrow there will be a meeting with the people in the club and maybe then there’s going to be news about this.”
Other players in Real Madrid are divided about bringing Ronaldo to their dressing room. Real Madrid striker and former United legend’s Ruud van Nistelrooy was confident yesterday that Sir Alex Ferguson will succeed in keeping Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United, regardless of the Portuguese winger’s wishes, this shows how Ronaldo is not wanted by some players of the Spanish giant.
