Manchester United legend’s Ryan Giggs warned his team mates from Chelsea up coming threat and said that the UEFA Champions League champion have to match Chelsea ambition If they are looking to keep the Premier League Trophy at Old Trafford. Chelsea have already indicated their intention to reclaim the Premiership crown and Giggs believes United have the qualities to challenge their rivals.
“You’re hungry and determined, and you want to win it, simple as that.
“We’ve got to match their determination, their hunger and their desire. We’ve got players at the club who’ve tasted success over the last couple of years and want more.”
Giggs was not feeling happy after the team has only got a point from Newcastle United game and thought if Tevez could play United would do better in front of the goal.
“We’re all disappointed we didn’t win as every team wants to get off to a winning start, but we did okay.
“Obviously, Carlos was not there on Sunday, which was disappointing, and Wayne missed a bit of pre-season.
“He would have liked a few more games under his belt, while Fraizer (Campbell) is a young lad. Ideally you want four or five strikers, but we haven’t got that.”
So Giggs is waiting for new striker to join Manchester United before the end of the transfer window on the 31st of Augest. However, he told sky sports that he has no idea if Sir Alex Ferguson has a deal with Spurs striker Berbatov.
“I think we’re always getting linked with players, especially when you don’t win the first game, and you’ve got a couple of strikers injured or missing.
“We get linked with lots of players and the players are always the last to find out about these things.”
