Man United 2 – 0 Botlon: Ronaldo and Rooney gave Man United a Wanderer victory

Man UTD 2 - 0 BWFCManchester United recorded their first home victory today against Bolton Wanderers at Old Trafford. Goals came from Cristiano Ronaldo and Wayne Rooney. It was deserved win for our side, but Bolton’s fans left the game unhappy due to the penalty given to Ronaldo when Jlloyd Samuel tackled him inside the box.

Ronaldo scoring from a spot kickUnited started the game with a massive attack to score an early goal. The first threat came from Ronaldo 10 minutes after the kickoff when Anderson and Berbatov combined well and opened a space to Ronaldo who fired the ball into Jaaskelainen arms. In the 24th minutes, another chance from Ronaldo but this time from a free-kick. He forced a smart stop from Jaaskelainen with a shot that bounced just before the six-yard line. The first half ended goalless.

In the second half, United again put Bolton under the pressure. This pressure results a penalty after Jlloyed Samuel appeared to make a superb tackle to deny Ronaldo inside the box but the referee Rob Styles awarded a penalty to United. Although many thought it wasn’t a penalty, Ronaldo gave Jaaskelainen no chance and sent him to the wrong way to give United the lead.

In the 71st minutes, Sir Ferguson made a double change as he withdrawn Anderson and Tevez and gave the chance to Scholes and Rooney. These substitutions had given a United a quick reflection as Rooney scored the second goal. Ronaldo gave Rooney a wonderful back-heel pass and Rooney sent a superb curling shot into the bottom corner of Jaaskelainen goal.

Then Nani replaced Ronaldo 10 minutes from full-time with Cristiano receiving a standing ovation from the fans. They were absolutely happy from him!
