An opinion from our rival! Arsene Wenger, Arsenal’ manager, believes that the Premier League trophy will be kept at Old Trafford on May. Although I don’t know if it is a mind game from the Frenchman to add more pressure on Sir Alex Ferguson squad, it is still a trusted opinion from Arsene who took Arsenal hot seat back in 1996.
Wenger said in the Daily Mail: ‘For big spells in the game Manchester United dominated but they made mistakes on the day that usually they don’t do.
‘Some players looked a bit mentally tired. It opens up the race for the title, even though I still believe that Manchester United are in a strong position with the game in hand that they still have.
‘They have played many matches since Christmas and it looked to have caught up with them on Saturday.’
Well…As Arsenal are unlikely to catch us even though their 4-0 win over Blackburn on Saturday moved them level on points with Aston Villa in fourth place, we will wish him a good luck when they face our followers, Chelsea and Liverpool. But we won’t wish Wenger’ boys any luck when we host them at Old Trafford on 16th May 2009!
