Transfer stories are a dime a dozen. Very few have genuine substance, we always take them with a huge amount of cynicism yet they cannot be totally ignored in case there’s the slightest grain of truth in them. Some media outlets are obviously more reliable than others so Truly Reds is prepared to report the gossip and give a rating of 1 to 5 as to how believable it’s likely be. A rating of 1 can almost certainly be dismissed out of hand while a 5 may give the story some creedance. Have a look at what’s being reported but be warned – only believe what you want. Here’s a reminder from Sir Alex Ferguson why all transfer gossip must be taken with a large grain of salt. “There’s always speculation, people linked us with 112 players one year and we only signed 12 of them!”
Ferguson continues to pursue Tottenham youngster Gareth Bale and is willing to offer a player plus cash deal that he hopes will interest White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp. Manchester United are willing to make a part exchange deal that would see a North London return for striker Dimitar Berbatov. Many reports suggest that Spurs may need to consider offers for the Welsh international if they fail to secure a top four finish and Ferguson hopes to sweeten any transfer deal with the offer of a player who could be of great use to Redknapp – Rated 3

Caughtoffside reports that Manchester United are planning significant bids for Serie A pair Alexis Sanchez and Marek Hamsik as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to freshen up his Old Trafford squad. It is thought that the Scot will make offers for both players in preference to moves for Premier League targets Ashley Young and Jordan Henderson. As this story comes from one of the least reliable outlets, it’s – Rated 1
And here’s another Caughtoffside figment of imagination. Manchester United are preparing a move to sign Celtic’s highly rated midfielder Biram Kayal as Ferguson looks to freshen up his squad with youthful new additions this summer. Sir Alex has sent scouts to monitor the Israeli’s SPL performances and has been impressed with reports he has received and is reportedly ready to make an offer for the 22 year old. Which story do you think is the most believable?
I thnk da swap deal btwin BALE ND BERBA would b a huge gain 4 man utd especialy if nani goes 2 inter wit sneida cumin 2 man utd
So Spurs will swap a rising world star with a great attitude, for a player who could and has sulked for Bulgaria. Indeed he spent a whole year sulking at Spurs. Even if Redknapp liked the idea he’ll never sell it to Levy, who has made it clear he won’t do business with Utd. Rating 0
Personally Tony, I will keep Berba rather than get Bale ANYTIME. Nothing beats sheer class but that’s opinions for you.
