24 hours before the kick-off of North England derby between Liverpool and Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson squad seems totally complete for the big clash. Although United’s Captain Nemanja Vidic featured in Serbia game for the first time since his injury two months ago, Sir Alex will let the solid defender to decide whether he is ready to face Liverpool tomorrow.
“The big question mark is whether Vidic is ready for the game,” said Ferguson.
“He had his first game [back] for Serbia on Tuesday, played the full game, so he is certainly a consideration because he is such a good competitor.
“Nemanja came in yesterday and felt okay, but a Liverpool game is such an intense, draining affair, you want everybody to be 100 per cent.
“It may be down to how he feels himself, we’ll have to see.
“All the players have come back from the internationals fit, which is always a blessing. Sometimes they don’t, but fortunately this time they are all okay.”
Meanwhile, Darren Fletcher will start for Manchester United against Liverpool on Saturday, despite playing in Scotland’s last two games of Euro 2012 qualifiers.
Fletcher, who missed most of last season with an unknown virus, has since made a full recovery and has started United’s last three Premier League games. After the midfielder featured against Liechtenstein and Spain, it might have been expected United’s manager to rest him for the next league game. But, Sir Alex is ready to play him from the start at Anfield.
In the other hand, Tom Cleverley is unlikely to be fit to face Liverpool while Rafael Da Silva, who has been out all season after suffering a dislocated shoulder, is back in full training but Sir Alex won’t rush him back.
Can you guess United starting 11 at Anfield?!
