The player’s skill and ability have never been in doubt whilst his attitude to perform on a consistent basis has. Manchester United fans will be hoping that he remains fit and consistently plays well. Many fans are expecting the departure of Pogba to Real Madrid at the end of the season but for the time being fans will be happy to see him play.

Sky Sports pundit and former Man United defender Gary Neville believes that Pogba will get the start alongside revelation Bruno Fernandes for the first time.

Now, I feel there’s a better chance of that team really succeeding, and I think they’ll play at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, and there won’t be any doubt that he’ll play with Bruno Fernandes. I know Jamie Carragher doesn’t believe they’ll be that exciting together, I do think they can be.”

Manchester Evening News created a poll and asked United fans on Twitter whether the World Cup winner should start against the Blades.

97.3 per cent of the 5,298 respondents believe Pogba should play from the off against Chris Wilder’s men.  Just 2.7 per cent of respondents believe United should utilise their other midfield options.
