In what has been a dramatic few weeks in the English Premier League in the race for the Uefa Champions League 2021, Manchester United are now on the brink of securing their place.
The race is still close that will go down to the final game of the season on Sunday against Leicester City. Whilst both teams are level on points and goal difference, the game against West Ham tonight is very important.
West Ham United
De Gea had a poor game at Wembley with Sergio Romero waiting to step in if Solskjaer gives him the start. Luke Shaw is also fit after missing the last two matches with an ankle complaint.
We at Truly Reds always believe in Manchester United to conquer and this task is no different. With our attacking options looking great with Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood in good form, as well as midfielders Fernandes and Pogba playing well, on paper this should be 6 points in two games. However, we appreciate that if the team doesn’t show up then qualification is hanging by a thread.
Leicester City
One of the biggest surprises since the return from lockdown has been the form of Leicester City in which they have gone from almost contenders for second position to being pushed down to 5th place. Will they be confident going in against Manchester United on the last game of the season, knowing that a win could put them in fourth.
Importance of Europe
Qualification for Europe is extremely important for everyone involved at Manchester United. Another season without top European tier football will be a major blow. As always we will bring analysis and reaction to the game tonight.
What are your thoughts on the games and do you think we will qualify for the Champions League next season?
