Wayne Rooney scored a goal in the first minute to give United an important victory to keep the Premiership trophy at Old Trafford.
Sir Alex made four changes to the squad which started Chelsea game. Rafael, Nani, Carrick and Scholes have replaced Neville, Park Ji Song, Fletcher and Giggs.
United fans didn’t wait so long to see the first goal. In the first minute, United had a counter attack and Berbatov played a magnificent outside of the foot pass to Ronaldo. The newly crowned World Player of the Year fired his cross hard and low for Rooney who sent it home to give United the lead.
After only five minutes, Rooney had a hamstring injury and he was replaced by Argentinean striker, Carlos Tevez, Wayne will be out of action for three weeks.
The game end with Rooney goal and Manchester moved second in the English Premier League table.
Now, United need another victory against Fulham in their last postponed game to see them top of the table. A victory which will give United a big boost before the important game against Inter Milan next month.
