A magnificent late strike from 17 years old Federico Macheda sent Manchester United back the top of the English Premier League as they beat Aston Villa home 3-2.
Sir Alex Ferguson would feel no sorry as he gambled to give the Italian youngster his first premier league game and the striker has scored a wonderful goal when he took control of the ball inside the box with a smart back heel and curled the ball into the left hand corner of Brad Friedel goal.
In the other hand, our defence was awful today. Aston Villa scored a two photocopied goals in both half from crosses from outside the box with a bad covering from the defenders. It was clear that we were missing Ferdinand and Vidic.
The good news came from Cristiano Ronaldo who scored an important two goals in the 14th and 80th minute of the game. The first came from an indirect freekick inside the box and the second was from a long range strike by his left foot.
The victory has come in a very good time as Manchester United are preparing for Champions League clash against Porto after only two days. With Wayne Rooney, Scholes, Vidic and Ferdinand back to the squad things will be better and better!
