Argentine striker Carlos Tevez’s agent has revealed that the player will begin negotiations with four Premier League clubs, including United, Chelsea, Liverpool and bitter rivals Manchester City. United officials are hopeful of clinching a £30million signing of a player that became a cult hero at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Old Trafford faithful will be hoping that the striker can agree a deal to stay at United. Unfortunately it seems the striker feels unwanted due to the fact that it’s taken so long for United manager Sir Alex Ferguson to pursue a permanent deal.
Tevez feels it shows a lack of respect that he wasn’t signed up on a permanent deal sooner. The United boss will now have more cash at his disposal with the impending world-record sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid for £80million.
The United boss has a long list of potential signings with Wigan winger Antonio Valencia top of that list, the Ecuadorean is rated in the £16million bracket. Bayern Munich’s French winger Franck Ribery is another option for United, but the Germans seem to be pushing the winger’s price up by the day. Lyon £30million rated striker Karim Benzema is also on the United bosses hit list.
