After the draw today against Aston Villa, many Manchester United fans are asking how long will the Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer be give to turn the clubs’ fortune around.
The team are currently in 9th place in the Premier League, the worst start of any team since 1989 meaning that the manager has performed worst than all those sacked before him.
Manchester United fans are some of the best in the country, offering to standby the former player but there is a growing concern that his reign might end sooner rather than later. With the January transfer window just around the corner will he be given until then to see who he can bring in. The possibility is that will he be given until the end of the season regardless of results.
Some of the most surprising statistics since he became Manchester United manager are as follows:
- 27% win rate as a permanent manager in the Premier League,
- Only 6 Wins out of 21 matches since March when appointed.
To put that into perspective, Arsenal this weekend fired their manager Unai Emery, he won only 47% of his games.
Everyone understands the need to bring in young players but when they are not good enough they shouldn’t be playing.
How Long Does He Have
The biggest rivals of Manchester United are Manchester City and Liverpool. With the derby this weekend, this is a major game for every one at the club. Should we lose to them then expect an increasing amount of fans to join the leave brigade.
Paul Pogba is reportedly back this week, whether he can change the team performances remains to be seen.
One thing is for certain, if we continue with the same run of form for the rest of the season then everyone expects him to be removed from the position. Everyone wants him to succeed but results speak for themselves.
What do you think? How long will he last as the manager, will he be given to the end of the season or be gone before then? Either way Manchester United are the biggest team in the world and need to deliver!
