While one Owen has heard the final whistle on his season, another is looking forward to his first outing in 18 months. It just about sums up the ironies that football has a habit of throwing up!
Midfielder Owen Hargreaves is set to make his long awaited return from injury with a run out for the reserves on Thursday. The 29-year-old has been out of action since September 2008, when he underwent revolutionary knee surgery. But Hargreaves has resumed training with the first team and boss Sir Alex Ferguson says he could return against Manchester City‘s second string.

Good news for United fans that we are going to see Owen Hargreaves playing at Old Trafford next month after a long-term knee injury. This come back will lead some changes such as free-kick taker.
Sir Alex Ferguson believes Hargreaves is capable to fill the gap made by Cristiano Ronaldo who was United’ set-piece specialist. At the moment, Ryan Giggs, Rooney and sometime Nani are getting involved in taking the free-kicks. Read the full story

Most of Manchester United fans have forgotten Owen Hargreaves after injuring his knee earlier this season. The England International has promised Manchester United to come back next season and show his worth.
Hargreves has only appeared three times this season and his long-standing tendonitis knee problem prevented the ex-Bayern Munich player from playing football until the end of the season. Read the full story
