The new Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has arrived! For the second time in less than a week Kiko Macheda gave Manchester United a victory. After his stoppage time goal against Aston Villa last week, Macheda scored another one today to give Man United another (Ugly) victory past Sunderland.
Sir Alex Ferguson started with Ben Foster as a goalie while he kept Cristiano Ronaldo and Evra on the bench.
The first half ended with a one goal lead for United scored by Paul Scholes after an accurate cross from Wayne Rooney.
In the second half, it was the time of another error and this time it was from Ben Foster when he couldn’t claim Teemu Tainio‘s cross to find Jones who bashed the ball into the empty net to make the score level.
Then it was Macheda time, who replaced Berbatov, to score. He reflected Carrick shot into Gordon’ goal who has no chance to clear it…2-1 for Man United.
Although it wasn’t that attractive show from Man United, winning ugly is better than nothing! The victory will boost the club as they are traveling to Portugal to face Porto where win is what they need to avoid quitting from Uefa Champions League.
Do you think Man United will be ready to beat Porto?
