The summer transfer window is yet to start, but Manchester United and Arsenal are in war to secure the service of Fiorentina keeper Sebastien Frey. Both Clubs have been knocked out from the Champions League last week and they are looking to strengthen their squad from now.
While Arsene Wenger‘s frustration over number one Manuel Almunia is clear to everyone, Sir Alex Ferguson sees Sebastien Frey an ideal replacement for Edwin Van der Sar who MAY retire at the end of next season.
I think Tomasz Kuszczak and Ben Foster have failed to impressive and prove themselves at high level and their error couldn’t be hidden from the fans (remember Sunderland home game this season!).
Frey is only 30 years old and he will have at least five years at United unless Fergie has other names in his mind (Reports suggest Igor Akinfeev or Rene Adler are under SAF’s radar).
Would you welcome Frey at Old Trafford?
