Last season top scorer Dimitar Berbatov considers leaving Manchester United after questions raised about his contribution to the team this season. Berbatov is spending most of his time setting on the bench and could only start three games.
Berbatov’s agent claimed that the striker would think to move to Russian rich club Anzhi Makhachkala.
Anzhi are one of the biggest spenders in football nowadays and they confirmed this by making Samuel Eto’o the highest paid player in the world when he moved from Inter last summer.
Berbatov may prefers Anzhi money and a place in the starting lineup to sit on the Old Trafford dugout so a move to Dagestan in January will be an ideal solution and Berbatov’s agent admits he would happy to receive an official offer.
“We would be interested when Anzhi make a concrete offer,” Danchev is quoted as saying by the Daily Mirror.
“We will sit down with Dimitar and ponder this.
“I don’t know if Dimitar is happy in Manchester. He plays, then he just sits on the bench.”
Dimitar claims he is happy in Manchester few weeks back, as local hero Danny Welbeck has been improving since his return from Sunderland, I don’t mind Berba move especially If we can recover some of the record £30million we paid Tottenham in 2008!
Will Berbatov move to Russia in January?
