Chris Dillow has a great article (link here – would recommend reading all of it) that considers the revolution taking place in Tunisia at the moment, and how the events over there may serve as an inspiration for others and create a “domino effect” around the world with regards to the cause of the disposal of dictators and autocrats in favour or democracy and freedom.
I wouldn’t normally comment on such matters because in no way am I qualified to blog on international politics (even on football is debatable!), I try to keep my opinion on such areas to a minimum and leave the debate to the more informed Oliver Kamm’s and Noam Chomsky’s of this world, but I think that the ideas that Chris puts forward can be linked to the MUST inspired anti-Glazer movement in a way. Resurrected old/new Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish came to Old Trafford on Sunday and while he did not exactly Walk Alone back to Anfield, there was certainly no Triumphant March from Aida blaring in the background! As a matter of fact, he was quick to come out with the expected after match bitter mutterings of 'that penalty was a joke' and 'it was never a red card'. Nothing unusual, it's what Scousers do best whenever they get beaten – which has become the norm this season. I fully understand that this is a Manchester United blog and what happens at Anfield should be none of our business BUT before I get accused of being 'obsessed' by Liverpool – another common Scouse boast, stay with me as I explain why there may well be a lesson for United in all of this.

He’s now into his third season at Old Trafford after Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson paid a club record transfer fee of £30.75 million to get him from Tottenham Hotspur – a fee which incidentally Dimitar Berbatov had absolutely nothing to do with. Now, after 103 appearances, the Bulgarian may finally be accepted by United fans after taking his goal tally to 38 with a five goal haul against Blackburn Rovers. Among many other complaints about his game, critics accuse Berba of being lazy, inconsistent and does not score as many times as an expensive striker should. The statistics show an entirely different story.
