Manchester United face a tough trip to in-form Tottenham on Saturday evening. However the champions will still head in to this game as favourites. Tottenham have made a perfect start to the season and will be looking for victory over United.

United start this game three points behind the Londoners in third place. United have started to hit form after beating Arsenal 2-1 at Old Trafford in the last Premier League game, despite controversy that saw Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger sent to the stands for protestation.

United could have influential defender Rio Ferdinand back in the squad after the England star recovered from injury quicker than expected. Republic of Ireland international John O’Shea is a big doubt for this clash. Sir Alex Ferguson has to chose between Gary Neville and Wes Brown for the right back position.

Tottenham have made a fantastic start to the season winning four out of four games in the Premier League. Spurs have scored 11 goals in those first four games and have already beaten United’s rivals Liverpool. Tottenham are likely to hand Croatian midfielder Niko Kranjcar his debut. He will replace compatriot Luka Modric who was injured in Spurs last match.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has recieved a boost with defenders Sebastien Bassong, Ledley King and Gareth Bale all recovering from injuries and fit for selection. Midfielder Jermaine Jenas could also be return after a calf strain. Heurelho Gomes is injured so Italian Carlo Cudicini will continue in goal.
