If United were ever to bounce back, the rebuilding had to start in earnest so at the beginning of the 60s Busby started looking more and more into the transfer market. Remembering George Best 22/5/1946 – 25/11/2005


Manchester United legend George Best would have turned 64 on Saturday and to mark the occasion, teenagers from the estate where he grew up will take on a team from the Manchester United Foundation in a memorial match.The game is being played at Tillysburn Park is the second leg of the tournament to raise funds for the George Best Foundation.

FLASHBACK: Maradona was no match for Robson


Among the many benefits of being a Manchester United fan, one of the biggest are the special memories that stays with you during your lifetime. European Cup nights in the Theatre of Dreams are without doubt some of the very best but even amongst those, some nights stand out above others. Each one is memorable in its own way but for pure drama the European Cup Winners Cup quarter final second leg against a Diego Maradona led Barcelona in March 1984 was arguably the best.
