Some Manchester United fans love him, others just wish he’ll go away. No, the word hate will not be used because nobody can possibly hate football brilliance. Personally, I have no hesitation in admitting that I love Dimitar Berbatov in a similar way that I remember Eric Cantona BUT, memories can be treacherous. He’s not the first and he most certainly won’t be the last. Swedish striker Henrik Larsson has confessed that he made a huge mistake by turning down an offer from Sir Alex Ferguson to extend his stay at Old Trafford back in 2007. The ball landed just outside the area at the feet of Cantona who had scored against Liverpool in his comeback game after a seven month suspension earlier that season. Cantona hit his shot goalwards, through the crowded penalty area and the ball nestled in the back of the net winning the game for United. True to his form all season, Cantona popped up with yet another magical moment.
